The PSA Annual Convention will be held on Friday 5th - Sunday 7th October 2012 at a central London location.  Further details will follow shortly.

Wednesday 29th February saw the first PSA meeting of 2012 in Manchester. To say it was hugely successful would be a gross understatement.

The buzz at 64 Bridge Street was due in no small part to our generous hosts Andrew Thorpe and Sara Knowles of Mojolife and fabulous guest presenters Geoff Ramm and Paul McGee; both Fellows of PSA. We also had superb input from National PSA President Derek Arden and my co-host Will Kintish.

The speakers, members and guests created an electric atmosphere which translated to 11 new associates signing-up on the night. In this Olympic year and until otherwise challenged, Manchester/PSA North West is claiming this as a world record!

Attend our next meeting on May 29th - same time, same place - to experience the magic of PSA North West for yourself.

Roger Harrop was today presented with the "Speaker of the Year" award by the Academy for Chief Executives. Well done Roger.

In the presentation, Roger was praised not only for his consistently high performance over the past year with the Academy, but also for the fact that for the past seven years he has been consistently in the "Top 5" speakers who work with ACE.

On becoming a Fellow of the PSA.

Our new President, Derek Arden, has just posted his President's Message on to the website. Really worth reading - especially as you'll discover a cost-saving for you for next year's Convention...!

Many people have told us how much they got out of the recent Convention. Indeed, several of you rated it 10 out of 10...! Here is a quote from David White, the founder of Weboptimiser which suggests why that has happened:

"As founder of Weboptimiser I travel to events around the world and I have never been so impressed so completely with just one event. I usually expect to find a gem or two, but in this case every bullet fired from the mouth of each of the fiery speakers,  was an action packed heat sinking missile. Not only were the speakers top class, so were the audience. The members were each and in their own rights RockStars!"

Well, what a weekend we've just had..! A fabulous Convention.

The pre-convention meeting with Paul du Toit kicked things off to a brilliant start, before an experiment with a two-hour Masterclass from Phil Jesson on working with executive leadership groups. That had an amazing 90% satisfaction rating with several people giving it 10 out of 10...! Well done Phil.

Saturday saw the opening keynote with the brilliant John Hotowka, as well as fantastic talks from Monica Wofford and Terry Brock.

The Speaker Factor contest was one of the most well-liked items of the entire Convention. And the Sunday Sizzler went down a storm..!
